Assessment of nutritional status and social determinants

Nutrition plays a fundamental role in mental capacity and intellectual performance. Childhood malnutrition is a pathology of multi-causal etiology, which affects the entire human organism systemically, with immediate and intermediate complications and long-term sequelae, as well as being reversible with timely, comprehensive, multidisciplinary and sustained management. This book focuses on the evaluation of the nutritional status of children under 5 years of age and its social determinants in the Creciendo con Nuestros Hijos (CNH) programme in the Parish of Llacao.
