This 2024 edition of the Monitor reviews micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in 24 economies across Asia and the Pacific. It takes stock of recent progress and highlights policy implications.

MSMEs are a key driver of inclusive economic growth in Asia and the Pacific. The Asia Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise Monitor provides data and analysis as a resource for evidence-based policy design on MSME development. This year's edition highlights seven policy considerations in designing an MSME ecosystem that promotes resilient growth. These include focusing on the sound development of services-oriented MSMEs, promoting business clustering, building a gender-responsive growth model, and creating a base of green MSMEs.
