Ali Bey Al -Kabeer

Ali Bey Al -Kabeer is one of the greatest historical figures in the history of Egypt during the Mamluk period. As was the case for many Mamluks in that period, its origins were unknown, as it was small and brought to Egypt, where it was adopted to be a soldier in the Mamluk army and convert to Islam. His journey to power began after strict military training, and his leadership capabilities soon emerged. He was able to take over the position of the Sheikh of the country, to isolate the Ottoman governor and include Egypt and other lands under his control. He managed to eliminate the influence of the leader of Upper Egypt, Hammam bin Youssef Al -Hawari, and expand his influence over the largest regions in the region.
