JukkaPekka Lehto (1958-2026) composed quietly and privately over several decades, but in the late 1990s his musicianship began to evolve into a more public profile as a composer. He studied privately with Kalevi Aho and Lauri Kilpiö. His earliest works were written for his own instrument, but he soon developed a personal voice in chamber music, vocal music, and symphonic expression as well.
