Advanced Microbial Diagnostic AIDS in Periodontology

The present book is initiated to compare the ability of severaldetection methods, i.e., a serial dilution anaerobic culture and/ormicroscopic procedure, a DNA probe procedure and immunologicalreagents using both an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA)and an indirect immunofluorescence assay (IFA), to detect a selectedpanel of periodontopathic organisms in single subgingival plaque samplestaken from periodontally diseased sites.
