A sip of wind

A sip of wind invites you into the bright angles of its home, entertaining your senses at nearly every turn - of course, in the bedroom, but also in the kitchen and especially outside: strawberry tobacco, thick coffee, orange blossom water, all the meats you can imagine. Sim es' style, eloquent and assertive, dances with and around the many women in this book, or perhaps the one woman in this book. Maybe she is the poet, maybe she is you. Whoever she is, it is clear that she carries her home with her everywhere.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Nora Sim es is a Community College English Instructor who earned her M.F.A. from California State University, Long Beach, and her poetry and book reviews have been featured in A Nation of Long Beach Poets, Askew, Pearl Literary Magazine, Chiron Review, VerdadVerdad, Rip Rap, and Sole Image.
