@ the Cross: Exodus, a Study Guide contains forty chapters depicting the Israelites trek from Egypt through the wilderness in search of the Promised Land. Fearing the unknown can be a very strong emotion that can lead to complacency and accepted abused as the Egyptians had subjected the Israelites to for many years. The Israelites now outnumber the Egyptians by millions and the new Pharaoh wanted to keep them in the work they had grown accustomed too. Then a Hebrew boy named Moses comes on the scene and God gives him the commandment to go to Pharaoh and tell Pharaoh to let His people go. God displayed so many miracles in this book because He wanted the Israelites to be assured that He was with them day and night. The exodus itself was amazing because there were more than two million people leaving Egypt. Then came the most miraculous of all, crossing the Red Sea on dry land and bringing it back together over Pharaoh and his soldiers.
