Indian exports are now termed "engines of growth". The major constituents of our export trade are now showing a gradually changing pattern and a number of new non-traditional items have figured prominently on our export list. The Latin American region which is more than six times the size of India provides great opportunities for our trade expansion and trade diversion efforts. This region comprises Mexico, Central American Countries, Caribbean Countries, and the South American continent. The region is under a continuous process of economic integration and hence it has great scope for trade promotion through bilateral, sectoral, and sub-regional approaches. One has to enter into trade agreements with these countries through different trade bloc and economic unions 1.e. the Latin American Free Trade Association (and within it the Rundown Windows Group or the Cartagena Agreement),
