Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. Paris, prove that we, the Dodecanesians, not only were not in the least overawed by the various vicissitudes of the great contest, but have from the first, repeatedly expressed to the Entente and to America our lively sympathies, and persistently asked of them, by writing, verbally and by telegram, that we may be allowed the privilege and the honour of fighting by their side and of dying for the sake of the deliverance of the peeples and for civilization.
