Marley Mongoose and the Hurricane

The final weeks of summer on the islands usually meant preparing for the unknown of hurricane season. The Mongoose family had to make sure they were ready, and everyone on the island had started the early stages for preparation. Hurricanes are dangerous and can cause major damage, from powerful winds to flooding. Marley Mongoose and his family had seen multiple tropical storms since living on the island. However, this hurricane felt different from past storms, and Marley was trying not to be nervous. Marley was scared, but he did not know how to talk to his parents. What if the neighborhood flooded? Would the strong winds pull the roof off the house?As the clouds started to get darker across the skies, Marley decided to run as fast as he could but suddenly realized he was lost and could not find his way back to their house.
