Explanation of the Diwan of Al-Mutanabbi - Part One

Explanation of Al-Mutanabbi''s Diwan - Part One: This commentary is considered a literary treasure and a heritage document documenting the precious poetic legacy that Al-Mutanabbi left us, the birthplace of eloquent Arabic poetry in the East. The writer provided a comprehensive explanation, in which he collected the interpretations of commentators from different eras, whether they were early or late, in addition to the opinions of critics, whether they supported or opposed Al-Mutanabbi. Al-Barquqi added many evidence and examples that enhance the value of this explanation, out of his belief in Al-Mutanabbi''s status. He also expanded on Al-Mutanabbi''s biography, especially to help understand the circumstances and occasions that influenced the birth of his poetry. He attached biographies of the commentators he mentioned to the explanation, and collected proverbs and sayings that Al-Mutanabbi said, adding them to this book. It is no wonder that this explanation combined all the explanations after revising them, to provide a detailed explanation of every poetic verse said by Al-Mutanabbi.
