Theory, Sport and Society

Intended as a resource for students and researchers alike, this volume is a collection of 16 papers that span past, present and future approaches to the sociological study of sport. It includes both a selection of the "founding" theorists whose work remains so pertinent to seeing sport sociologically, as well as from more contemporary and interdisciplinary perspectives. The contributors include a range of experienced and young scholars in the field.
