Theory-practice transfer in health and nursing education

In view of demographic and epidemiological developments and the ongoing professionalisation of the nursing profession, nursing faces major challenges in the future. In addition, a paradigm shift is also taking place in education, away from purely informative learning and towards transformative knowledge acquisition with the application of global resources for problem solving and motivation for lifelong learning. This places high demands on training in theory and practice. This paper deals with this topic and aims to highlight methods in theory and practice that efficiently link theoretical knowledge with practical know-how, thereby promoting the development of practical skills.
