The Bejeweled Sandals

A story based upon my personal experience in a psych ward during a Bipolar Disorder Episode. We live in a society where Mental Illness is taboo, but many people suffer silently. It's time to talk about these issues and share our experiences. I find that many people, like myself, are brilliant individuals but deal with anxiety, stress, and fear on a different mental level when we go off of our medications; believe me, it can be very scary. It's important to get the medications right and stay on them.
