Ordinary Girls Extraordinary Women: Book One begins as a close- knit group of girls are in the euphoric period following the end of school and as the girls experience the thrill of entering an adult world filled with the excitement of relationships, desire, and the potential for independence.

The journey will bring the girls into the midst of first relationships. This is where love enters into their lives in all of its messy ways - the intoxicating crushes; the impulsive choices; the secret affairs; the emotionally intense connections that feel like life-or-death at 17 years old.

This is also where the girls will have their first sexual experiences and discover the power and vulnerability of giving themselves over to another person for the first time.

Passion brings complications. As a result of the complicated nature of these early relationships, betrayal will occur - from boys who made promises they could not keep; from partners who took more than they gave; and from the realization that some relationships are built upon lies. The girls will struggle with the feelings of jealousy, insecurity, longings, and the desperate need to be loved - which can lead them on perilous emotional journeys.

Through the broken-hearted, the desires, the impulsive decisions, and the extreme high's and low's of young love, the girls will begin to learn what true adulthood requires. Being 18 doesn't automatically make relationships easier - however, it marks the beginning of the time the girls will take responsibility for their own choices, their own bodies, and their own future.
