An Extraordinary Friendship

Grown-ups think childhood is carefree and easy, but Forrest Webster remembers it differently.
As a boy, he was too young to be anything other than cute to his sisters' beautiful girlfriends. At age fifteen-when a high school cheerleader smote him-he barely escaped being sexually exploited by the girl's uncle, who he imagined might provide a way into her life.
At home, things were just as confusing, especially when his father left the family after being caught in an affair. His mother rose to sainthood in his eyes, providing the family with a home, income, and a future.
While the author had his fair share of bad examples to learn from, he managed to blow it with his first wife. But he has been married for more than forty-four years and raised four amazing children with his second wife-and counts himself very blessed.
Through it all, he has leaned on his best friend-Jesus Christ-for counsel to get past his ego, ignorance, and the cruel and merciless attacks of Satan in small-town America.
