Law of Design Patents

Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. Those members of the profession who have had occasion to give any considerable attention to design-patent matters, must have experienced difficulty in ascertaining just how much and what has been done toward settling the status of these patents. The decisions in the Patent Office have been conflicting, and the court cases are not altogether harmonious. Fortunately, the Supreme Court has had occasion, of late, to pass somewhat fully upon a design-patent cause, and it seems an opportune time to collect the cases, digest them, and present them, with deductive comments, to the profession, in a single volume.
