Composer George Frederick Handel lived through times like ours in that the freedom granted to gay men could never to be taken for granted. During his long life, the pendulum of morality alternatively battered his community then treated it with indifference. We follow George Frederick through his youth in Germany, early adulthood in Italy, and prolific career in England. Despite his gay affectional orientation, but because of his monumental genius and sense of humor, he communed with the most influential people of his times. The crowned heads of Europe and clerical aristocracy, many of whom were like-minded, patronized and befriended him. Among the most prolific composers ever, he hid messages about sexual identity by using allegory in his compositions. The plot was never what it seemed.
