Like its companion Sociologists in Action volume, on social change and social justice, this collection brings together dozens of accounts of sociologists who are using their sociology to make a positive impact on society. Each of the 30 selections describe, through firsthand experience, how sociology can be used to address enduring problems of prejudice and discrimination based on race, nationality, class, gender, and sexuality.
