Autotelic Architecture

Autotelic: “having a purpose in and not apart from itself”. This book is an investigation in the internal narratives of architecture, transmitted through the plans of buildings. The buildings and their narratives have been studied and described with the use of short texts and plans. All of the buildings have been built and can come from any time and any place in the world. The buildings could represent an architecture that gets its meaning from architecture itself. In this sense they can be seen as autotelic.
