The Role of Drug Trafficking in the Political Economy of Conflict and Terrorism - innbundet, Russisk, 2018
The book is devoted to the relationship and mutual influence of drug trafficking and armed conflict in the center of each of the three major areas of world drug production - in Afghanistan, Colombia and Myanmar. Particular attention is paid to the problems and prospects of peaceful settlement of conflicts and the fight against production and trafficking of drugs in these regions. We investigate the role of drug trafficking in the political economy of conflict in transit countries (for example, Central Asian transit route of drugs of Afghan origin). Separately, discusses the role of drug trafficking in the financing groupings, leading terrorist activities, and problems to deal with it in the context of combating international terrorism. The book is intended for the staff of the interested state bodies and international organizations, as well as a wide range of academic experts and practitioners in the field of conflict resolution, political science and economics.
