The Miraculous Escape

The Miraculous Escape' is about my journey of rescuing my parents during the second wave of the pandemic; COVID-19 (April 2021 - July 2021). It's about moments of the day I saw my parents esp. my Father fighting for his every breath, times when I saw him lying in a prone position for days and days without uttering a single word only to maintain the saturation balance to finally seeing him overcome the fear of losing his breath upon removing the oxygen mask. With his indomitable grit he reiterated that irrespective of the disaster, a strong will power can make even the hardest mountains bend. It also reveals about my peaks and troughs, elevations and depressions all throughout the journey when I myself was COVID-19 positive. The entire journey along with the rollercoaster of emotions I dealt with; have been described in a poetic format in over 100 poems depending on each phase and how the choicest benedictions of the Almighty helped me rescue them.
