Insignificantly Unique

While sitting on the front porch of her Detroit home, Unique Jefferson, takes an overview account of the details that had taken place in the last seventeen years of her life. She struggles with the murder of a Father that she loved dearly but never really got a chance to know.She wrestles with the idea of forgiving a mother who had abandoned her years earlier. Uniques world is turned upside down as she tries to figure out how to survive, at age fourteen, while providing food and shelter for a brother whom she has become both Mother and Father to. Unique loses her way and begins to give in to the thoughts of a defeated and irrelevant existence. But during a traumatic turn of events, she is lead on an unforgettable journey that would alter her life forever.
