Green Tractors

Green Tractors starts in the depression with the main player Charles riding the rails, attempting to take a pair of pants off her clothesline she catches him. She is a young widow and makes him mow the yard to earn the pants, he goes beyond and impresses her. She feeds him and her friend, Mr. Andersen, offers him a job, he's living in her upstairs room. After a week he pops the question and she accepts. Together they buy the hardware store from Mr. Andersen and secure the farm equipment sales for that entire region. He is turned down for service in WWII, he keeps farms going and the military depends on farmers to produce food for the army. After World War II, John Deere notices his initiative and hard work and offers him a dealership. He, of course, expands it into a multi-national farm equipment business. They have 8 children
