At the behest of the pope, Camille Santiago, an investigative journalist, is sent to South America to expose the individuals behind a plot to take down the Roman Catholic Church. The pontiff now fears twelve excommunicated priests are at the bottom of the probe behind the epidemic known as ATP2. A two thousand year old holy war becomes fodder for the wrathful billionaire responsible for the orchestrated contagion. The megalomaniac's false prophet sends disciples to spread the disease. Despite formidable odds, Camille must escape Colombia's unscrupulous cops and drug cartels, plus the dangers of the Amazon River to complete her mission.
