Myths are among the most widespread and enduring human heritage literature throughout history, and perhaps among the most inspiring to peoples and societies, especially ancient ones. We do not find an ancient society without its oral and written heritage replete with an abundant number of myths. In this book, its author - Qadri Qalaji - presents nine historical stories, from nine different societies and civilizations. Some of them are legends, some are literary stories or children''s stories, and the last ones are fairy tales, and he called them all legends. However, he reformulated it in a contemporary and easy language, so that it would not be just a translation of these ancient stories. The investigator explained the myth through linguistic, philosophical, psychological, historical, and other approaches that help us understand and define the myth, and the difference between it and the folk tale and literary stories. He was also interested in defining the culture of the civilizations and societies that possess these myths. Myths are not the product of an individual''s imagination or the wisdom of a particular person, but rather a collective phenomenon that expresses the group''s thoughts, reflections, wisdom, and the essence of its culture. Qadri Qalaji is a journalist, writer, and thinker. He was born in Syria in 1981 and died in 1988. He worked as a journalist in Lebanon and headed the Egyptian "Dar Al-Hilal" office. Among his most important works are "Abu Dhar al-Ghafari," "Abraham Lincoln," and the book we have, which was published in 1491.
